Songiri is in Datia district. Sonagiri is the major pilgrim centers of Jain. Sonagiri meaning golden hill. Since the time of Bhagwan Chandraprabhu, ( 8th tirthankar ) Sonagiri has been a center to attain nirvana.
There are more than One Hundred temples. Temple 57 is the main temple in Songiri. In this temple one can see image of Chandraprabhu. This mage is 11ft. tall.
